Cornelis Holsteyn

1618 – 1658

Dutch painter, the son of Pieter Pietersz Holsteyn I (ca. 1585-1661) and his first wife Maritge Cornelisdr (1592/93-1647). His father, who was originally from Schleswig, was employed by the city of Haarlem as a stained-glass painter from 1634 to 1658 and was also active as a tapestry designer and engraver.
