Gaddo Gaddi

1260 – 1333

Gaddo di Zanobi Gaddi, Italian painter and mosaicist, the father of Taddeo Gaddi. He is recorded in the rolls of the Arte dei Medici e Speziali and written about by Giorgio Vasari, a 16th-century biographer of artists, but his oeuvre is largely conjectural. Vasari said that he was associated with Cimabue and Giotto.
