Jan van Pee
1640 – 1710
Dutch painter and art dealer, the son of the Amsterdam art dealer Emanuel van Pee. He began working for his father at a young age making copies of small cabinet paintings. He married to Hendrika Matthysdr in 1657 in Leiden and they had children, He travelled to Antwerp via Leiden and Rotterdam, spent eight months there and in the churches he viewed the work of Rubens, Jordaens, and Van Dyck.
