Ludovico Lipparini
1800 – 1856
Italian painter. In Venice, he followed the teachings of Liberale Cossa and especially those of Teodoro Matteini, as shown by his Socrates Finds Alcibiades in the Gynaeceum, painted between 1829 and 1830. In the modern style inspired by his master and father-in-law, Matteini, Ludovico begun producing portraits (memorable is that of Leopoldo Cicognara, 1825, now in the Gallerie dell'Accademia, Venice).
