Michele Giambono
1400 – 1462
Italian painter (Michele di Taddeo di Giovanni Bono). He was heir to the Late Gothic style as practised in Venice, and his art represents the most complete development of that style by a Venetian painter. He was seemingly not interested in the forms of antique art and did not seek the kind of verisimilitude practised by such fully Renaissance artists as Giovanni Bellini.
