Nicolaas Verkolje
1673 – 1746
Dutch painter, part of a family of artists, son of Johannes Verkolje I. He studied with his father and became, like Johannes, a versatile artist, producing not only genre pieces but also mythological scenes, ceiling paintings and portraits. He was also an expert mezzotint artist, like his father.
