Pieter Jan van Reijsschoot
1702 – 1772
Flemish painter, who came from a family of artists in Ghent, which more or less monopolized the decoration of the city's churches, monasteries and townhouses in the 18th century. Much of this work can still be seen in situ. Pieter Jan was the first of the family's artists to make his name.
