Pieter Stevens
1567 – 1624
Flemish painter and draughtsman, active in Bohemia. He was a free master in Antwerp in 1589. The hypothesis that Stevens visited Italy in the early 1590s cannot be proved; it is based only on a series of small, rather primitive drawings dated 1590 or 1591 (Vienna, Akademie der Bildende Kunst), representing mainly ancient monuments in the vicinity of Rome and Naples.
