Salomon Rombouts
1652 – 1702
Dutch painter, son of the painter Gillis Rombouts, with whom he may first have studied. He was admitted to the Haarlem guild in 1678. A landscape painter, his work reflects (and sometimes imitates) the Haarlem landscapes of Ruisdael and more particularly of Cornelis Decker (1625-78).
