Vincent I Laurensz. van der Vinne
1628 – 1702
Dutch painter and draughtsman, member of a family of artists. After initial training at a weaving mill, he spent nine months when he was 18 as the pupil of Frans Hals (who later painted his portrait c. 1655-60; Toronto, Art Gallery of Ontario), and in 1649 he joined the Haarlem Guild of St Luke.
