Vincenzo di Antonio Frediani
Italian painter, formerly known as the Master of the Lucchese Immaculate Conception. The discovery of the contract for a large painting which was originally his name-piece, the Immaculate Conception with Saints and Kings David and Solomon, for the church of San Francesco in Lucca, has identified Frediani as the painter of a group of paintings formerly attributed to the Master of the Immaculate Conception. He was probably trained in Lucca but in the 1480s fell under the influence of Domenico Ghirlandaio, Filippino Lippi and Botticelli.
