Jacques-Charles Oudry

1722 – 1778

French painter, son of Jean-Baptiste Oudry. He trained and worked with his father. His best work closely resembles that of his father in subject matter and style, although his draughtsmanship is weaker and his animal anatomy is often poor. He worked in Brussels and spent his last years as a drawing master in Lausanne, where he died in straitened circumstances.
