The young Lucien Pissarro, son of Camille Pissarro, had a flair for brief brushstrokes combined with very light, dustily pale points. He used his technique to paint humanized landscapes of a kind his father liked to do. He counterbalanced spatial depth with a tendency to emphasize surfaces which went hand in hand with his preference for graphic and illustrative work.
