religiousThe Virgin rises up to heaven pushed by a sudden gust of wind which separates the postures of the apostles. Each one is caught in a particular emotional moment in front of the miraculous happening and is drawn in by numerous feelings: incredulity, marvel, ecstatic adoration. From the seventeenth century onwards this painting underwent many restorations which considerably altered it.
