interiorStanding between the massive chancel pillars, a man in a red cloak, a boy and a dog look diagonally into the central nave at the magnificent tomb of the national hero William I of Orange. An open grave with a skull in the foreground left suggests transience and the sacred location. In accordance with Calvinist custom, the church is practically bare of decoration, the Gothic architecture being embellished only by the tomb of William I, flags, the rhomboid coats of arms and memorial shield of the family, and the organ.
